Tasting - McPherson Chenin Blanc

Name: McPherson Chenin Blanc
Variety: 100% Chenin Blanc
Region: Lubbock, Texas
Country: United States
Year: 2012
Price: $16.95

Winery Review: Long noted as the champion grape of the Loire Valley, Chenin Blanc exhibits floral, melon and tropical fruit characteristics which provide a springboard for seductive fruit foward wines that exhibit rich, mineral driven undertones of crisp acidity. Chenin Blanc is a delightful alternative to other white wines on the market and we believe it is time to reveal what Texas Chenin Blanc is all about. Introducing McPherson Cellars first Dry Chenin Blanc: Discover a new world with this old world variety.

My Review: This wine had a nice melon and mango aroma. After tasting, the front was very fruity and finished with slight bitterness and acidity. Overall, it was a light wine that wasn't bad but not great.

I did not have this wine with food.
