Winery Review: A vibrant Chardonnay from vineyards in cooler climates of California. Chardonnay is well known for its characteristic fresh apple fruit aromas and rounded rich flavors. Weather during the 2011 harvest provided ideal growing conditions for lush, yet perfectly balanced fruit.
My Review: This Chardonnay had a smoky aroma with some fruit aromas coming through. After tasting, it had a buttery start with a tart finish and some lemon zest flavors coming through the middle. While not the worst, it was a bit too buttery and smoky for me.
I did not have this wine with food.
